IsThisHam

I have made a ton of these sketches. Usually, while waiting for renders or computers to finish some task or meetings that should have been emails, I just start sketching. I usually have no idea what they are, or what they are meant to look like if polished up, so I often struggle with color palettes and lighting scenarios. When I started this one, I couldn't even think of what to name the PSD file initially. I heard my 3yr old son in the kitchen, ask mom 'is This ham?' about his lunch.
So....now I had my title.
I started refining the sketch, but had no idea what the colors or lighting should be. So I asked MidJourney 'Is This Ham?'
So...now I had a great color palette, strong light and shadow cues and weird, weird, so very fucking weird imagery to sort through. Then I just rolled forward from there, refining. I know MidJourney gets a lot of guff and I have my own reservations and frustrations with it, but I think its a great tool if used right. I'd be interested to know what others think about its usage here.
